Thanks to the Erasmus+ program, the months I spent in the peaceful and warm city of Kalisz, Poland have become one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. Before I left, I had many questions in my mind: Will I feel lonely? Will the language be a problem? Will I be able to adapt? But from the moment I arrived, all my concerns turned into excitement and a desire to explore.
Kalisz may be a small city, but with its calm atmosphere, safe environment, and friendly people, it took a big place in my heart. The professors at the university were not just there to give lectures — they listened, supported, and guided us throughout the semester. Their help made learning much more meaningful and enjoyable.
During this experience, I didn’t just learn about a new academic system — I also discovered my own limits. Living alone in a completely different country and culture helped me grow more confident and independent. I also had the chance to travel to other cities across Europe, and each place opened a new window in my mind. Every person I met shared a different story and taught me something new.
Now, looking back, I can confidently say: I’m so glad I applied. I’m so glad I took the chance. Erasmus gave me much more than academic growth — it helped me grow as a person.
Kalisz will always hold a special place in my heart.
