Hi! I am Kateryna, a student at the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” from Ukraine.

I am really happy that I took part in the Erasmus+ programme in Kalisz, Poland. It was a great opportunity to meet a lot of new people and make good friends. Moreover, thanks to this program I had the chance to learn a lot about other cultures, cuisines and countries.

During my mobility I improved my English skills because I had lots of practice in classes and in communicating with other participants. And it helped me to overcome my fear of speaking English. Additionally, I gained a lot of important knowledge and skills during the classes, which I am sure will be useful for my future career and life.

I would also like to tell you, that I absolutely like Kalisz, it’s a small but at the same time very beautiful and cozy town. I’m sure if you come here you will definitely like it too. By the way, if you want to visit some other Polish cities or maybe other countries, you will also have the opportunity and time to do it.

I really appreciate this experience and I am thankful to everyone who helped me to get the opportunity to participate in this program.

Participating in the Erasmus+ program at University of Kalisz in Poland was one of the most memorable and rewarding experiences of my life. From the very beginning, the university staff, local students, and lecturers created a welcoming environment that made my time there truly

The lecturers stood out for their professionalism, passion, and dedication to making complex subjects understandable. Their willingness to support and guide us throughout the semester was invaluable, and I am deeply grateful for their efforts.

Additionally, I had the privilege of competing for the Polish basketball club Pleszew. This incredible opportunity was made possible by Mr. Jakub Banasiak, who is also a staff member at University of Kalisz. His guidance and support paved the way for me to pursue my goals and brought me closer to achieving my dreams.

Living and studying in Kalisz also allowed me to explore its rich history and culture. The city’s picturesque streets, friendly locals, and peaceful atmosphere made every day enjoyable. I also had the opportunity to travel across Poland and visit several neighboring countries, each offering unique cultural experiences that broadened my perspective.

Beyond academics, the friendships I formed were one of the most meaningful aspects of my journey. Meeting and connecting with students from different backgrounds enriched my experience even further.

I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to Mrs. Monika Gustowska for her outstanding support and coordination throughout the program. Her assistance made the entire process smooth and enjoyable.

For anyone considering studying abroad, I highly recommend University of Kalisz. It provides a supportive, inclusive environment, excellent academic opportunities, and countless chances for personal growth and lifelong memories.
