Hello My name is Zeynep, I am 22 years old and I am from Türkiye. 

Reflecting on my time in Kalisz, I can confidently say it was a period filled with both challenges and remarkable experiences. Despite facing significant difficulties with accommodation, the overall journey was enriching and transformative.

As a physiotherapy student, I had the opportunity to engage in both theoretical and practical lessons, The faculty at the Department of Physiotherapy were incredibly supportive and emphasized the importance of practical, hands-on experience. Their guidance and expertise greatly enhanced my understanding of the field, making my academic journey in Kalisz a rewarding one.

One of the most fulfilling aspects of my Erasmus experience was the friendships I formed and the cultural exchange that took place. Meeting new people from different backgrounds and sharing our stories enriched my perspective and created lifelong memories. Kalisz, with its small-town charm and beautiful natural surroundings, provided the perfect backdrop for these connections to flourish. The town’s serene environment, coupled with its vibrant local culture, made my stay enjoyable and memorable.

The Erasmus+ program also provided me with the incredible opportunity to travel and explore Europe. I visited nine different countries, each offering unique experiences and insights. The experience of discovering new places, learning about different cultures, and immersing myself in various traditions was truly eye-opening and appreciation of the diverse world we live in.

While my Erasmus+ experience in Kalisz started with unforeseen challenges, it ultimately became a period of significant collection of memories. The friendships I formed, and the beauty of Kalisz itself made this journey an unforgettable chapter in my life. Many many Loves from Türkiye. 

Hello, I am Badri from Georgia, a student at the Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University’s Faculty of Business and Technology.

I had the pleasure of participating in the Erasmus student exchange program at University of Kalisz in Poland, where I spent an unforgettable semester. The experience was nothing short of exceptional. The lecturers at University of Kalisz are not only knowledgeable but also very supportive, making the academic environment both stimulating and welcoming.

The warm and friendly atmosphere at the university made it easy to connect with fellow students from various backgrounds. I had the chance to meet many wonderful people and form lasting friendships. The university’s location in Kalisz, a city rich in history and culture, provided ample opportunities for travel and exploration. I traveled extensively during my stay, discovering new places and immersing myself in Polish culture.

Participating in the Erasmus+ program in Kalisz has been an enriching and transformative experience for me. Arriving in this charming Polish town, I was immediately struck by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The integration process was seamless, thanks to the supportive staff and friendly fellow students. Academically, the program exceeded my expectations.

The courses were well-structured and engaging, offering a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application. The professors were not only knowledgeable but also genuinely interested in our academic growth and personal development. I particularly enjoyed the collaborative projects, which allowed me to work closely with students from diverse cultural backgrounds, fostering a spirit of teamwork and mutual respect.

Beyond the classroom, Kalisz offered a rich cultural experience. Exploring the town’s historical sites, participating in local festivals, and trying traditional Polish cuisine were some of the highlights of my stay. I also took the opportunity to travel around in Poland and visited Warsaw, Krakow and the Tatras mountains and also visited neighboring countries, which broadened my horizons and deepened my appreciation for European culture and history.

Living in Kalisz, I developed strong friendships with people from various parts of the world. These connections not only enriched my social life but also provided a global network that I am sure will be valuable in my future endeavors. The sense of community among Erasmus students was palpable, and we supported each other through the highs and lows of our journey.

Overall, my Erasmus experience in Kalisz was a period of significant personal and academic growth. It taught me to be more independent, adaptable, and grateful. I am grateful for the opportunity and would highly recommend the Erasmus program to any student seeking to broaden their horizons and experience life from a different perspective.

Hi, I’m Alma who studies nursing a student from Erasmus+ programme who had the chance to study at University of Kalisz.

First I wanted to start by thanking Erasmus+ programme.

The main goals of the Erasmus + programme are to improve the quality of education in Europe, to develop mobility and cultural ties between students from European and the EU neighboring countries.

Also my home university – Universum in Kosovo which made this more possible.

I am very happy that I have already finished a semester studying in Poland in the city of Kalisz. Before I applied, I heard a lot about Poland, that it is a good country for international students, where they welcome you very well, they are very sociable and try to tell us everything about their country and many new things that we have learned.

I love their culture, tradition and their food something I’ve never tried before.

Also, during my studies in Poland, I had the opportunity to visit Spain, Portugal, Germany, Austria, and Hungary during my vacations.

With this experience you can become more independent and self-confident, improve your communication, language and inter-cultural skills. Also the friends I made there were the best can’t forget them.

I can’t really forget this experience in my life, so if anyone is interested, I’d say don’t think twice because it’s something fantastic.

I was studying Nursing in Poland and everything was wonderful. I made a lot of friends from Poland and from another countries and we had so much fun. I was inspired to study abroad in Poland because I was there last year and the country has such a strong cultural identity I could really understand Poland as a culture and society. I thought studying in Kalisz made the most sense because the city is so culturally diverse and aligns with my interests. I had also free time to visit another cities in Poland like Warsaw, Krakow, Wroclaw, Poznan and Lodz. Poland has a diverse collection of ecosystems and wildlife. So when you need a break from the books, there are loads of interesting places to explore. 

I Also had time to visit another countries like Austria, Croatia, Spain, Portugal and Germany. What I learn while studying abroad will help me understand my degree more and give me an idea of how I will use it in the future. 

The quality of study abroad is an interesting and controversial topic among college students. Studying abroad is a chance to travel the world and see the places one wants to see, while also taking classes at a nearby college. Depending on the program the student chooses, they may have the option of staying in a dormitory at the prospective college, or in a nearby hotel. 

The phrase study abroad means a persons intent to gain knowledge outside of the confines of their country. There are many various aspects of studying abroad. You must be prepared: It is fun and exciting. Poland might not have been on your list of possible destinations to study. But if you’d like to earn a degree in a vibrant country where your student loan will go that little bit further, then it’s time to give Poland some serious consideration!

When I came back from study abroad I  wanted to promote the experience with everyone. If anyone asks me about my program or my host country I will gladly answer any questions they might have.

This past semester, I had the incredible opportunity to spend a substantial part of my studies in Kalisz, and it has been an unforgettable experience. Kalisz, with its rich history and vibrant culture, provided a unique backdrop for my academic journey.

From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the warmth and hospitality of the people. The local community welcomed me with open arms, making the transition to a new environment much easier. The city’s historic charm, with its beautiful architecture and scenic parks, offered a perfect blend of tradition and modernity.

Outside of academics, Kalisz offered numerous opportunities for personal development. I explored its cultural heritage through visits to museums, theaters, and local festivals. The city’s central location also made it easy to travel to other parts of Poland, enriching my overall experience.  

My time in Kalisz has been immensely rewarding. It has not only broadened my academic horizons but also allowed me to immerse myself in a new culture and make lasting memories. I am grateful for this opportunity and will cherish the experiences and friendships I have gained during my mobility in Kalisz.  

Small, quiet, and beautiful… that’s how I can describe this city. It is the place where I spent five wonderful months. Participating in an exchange program sponsored by the Erasmus Plus program had a profoundly positive impact on my personal development.

I was heartbroken at the end of the semester while studying at the University of Kalisz because the university staff, local students, and lecturers made me feel so welcomed and cherished. The lecturers were incredibly professional and passionate about their work. They always put their hearts into making difficult subjects understandable for us, and for that, I am deeply grateful to each and every one of them.

Living and studying in Kalisz also allowed me to explore the rich history and culture of this charming city. Its picturesque streets, friendly locals, and tranquil atmosphere made my stay unforgettable. The experience extended beyond the classroom, offering me valuable life lessons and unforgettable memories.

In addition to the academic experience, the exchange program offers a fantastic opportunity to travel to different European countries and immerse yourself in their unique cultures and traditions. I visited several neighboring countries, each with its own distinct charm and cultural heritage, enriching my understanding of the world.

I highly recommend that students participate in such programs and always believe in their own abilities. These experiences are invaluable, broadening your horizons and building lifelong skills and friendships. Overall, the Erasmus program enriches students’ academic journeys, broadens their horizons, and prepares them for the globalized world.

I spent my mobility time in Kalisz, Poland. This is quite a small town, not so cosmopolitan, but it has all the essentials you need. It has a special “small town” vibe and I would say that it is a nice town with a soul, good shopping malls, nice city center and big wonderful park. There is no many distractions so you can really focus on improving yourself. It is situated just in the middle of Poland so that whichever way you choose to go, everything is somehow close to you, although Poland is a really big country. Trains in Poland are great and quite cheap if you’re a student under 26 years old. This is also case with museums. As a student in Poland you’re almost treated as a king 😊. Great tool if you want to explore this beautiful country. 

I met many nice people from many countries, most of them out of Europe. Some of them came from poor countries, some of them from countries affected by war. I learnt a lot about their situations, but also about myself. For me their experiences represent a great incentive to fight for my goals, to be persistent and that nothing is impossible and last but not least, to appreciate more all the things in our lives that we take for granted. In some way, I would say that we, Europeans are lucky for our privileges, but we should be more aware of that.

I managed to travel a lot. That has been my goal since I’ve started to think about joining the Erasmus+ Programme. Most of the time I had wonderful people travelling by my side making those trips unforgettable but sometimes I didn’t hesitate to travel on my own. I have visited many places around Poland. From nice small towns of Torun, Lubliniec and Zakopane, nice and big castles of Malbork and Krakow, across beautiful Tatra mountains and wonderdul Baltic Sea (but not as wonderful as Adriatic Sea in Croatia 😜) to big and pictoresque cities of Poznan, Gdansk and Wrocław to capital Warsaw. I was delighted with all the trips and I admire great cultural and historical richness of Poland and I’m very happy to have chosen this gorgeous country for my mobility. Poland is neighbouring country to Germany so at the end I grabbed the chance and visited Berlin which was also on my bucket list. There I watched some exciting football matches of my and other countries and then I have continued to the north, to Hamburg where I attended a match of my country against Albania, accompanied by my family.

For me, Erasmus+ student mobility was a wonderful expirience and a priceless chance to improve myself, meet a lot of new people, see many new things, travel and explore culture and history. I recommend it to every student. Dare to go. Give it a try. You will not regret it for sure.

Participating in an Erasmus exchange program, at University of Kalisz in Poland, specialization – business administration has offered several significant benefits to all the students including me:

In my case, I actually feel that it was a major step forward to develop myself as an independent person, who can adapt to an absolutely new environment without any obstacles and find “own” place in a new, multi-cultural society.

5.     Cross-cultural Leadership Skills: Managing and collaborating with individuals from diverse backgrounds enhances your ability to lead cross-cultural teams effectively, a critical skill in multinational corporations.

6.     Personal Connections and Friendships: Beyond professional benefits, exchange programs often lead to lifelong friendships with peers from around the world, enriching your personal life as well.

7.     International Job Opportunities: Employers increasingly value candidates with international experience. Completing an exchange program can open doors to job opportunities abroad or with multinational companies seeking globally-minded talent.

I would like to express my honest gratitude towards all the lecturers and professors, who have been maximizing all their opportunities to be friendly and collaborative towards us all these months, as well as teaching us with great enthusiasm and motivation. Thus, my experience at University of Kalisz will actually be unique and unforgettable to me in my life.
