My Erasmus experience in Kalisz was amazing!

I am so grateful to have had such an opportunity. With Erasmus I have grown in so many ways. I have learned to live in a foreign country all by myself, solve the problems by myself and also I have learned to be alone in a country. Sometimes I have faced with challenges and being alone in a foreign country pushed me to face those challenges and solve the problems. Even if I was “alone” I was actually not alone, I had my Erasmus friends all the time by my side and my professors every time I needed something. I am so grateful to have such professors who take so much care of all of us. When I got a problem they helped me so much. All of my professors was so passionate about sharing their knowledge with the topics that we were learning and also very curious about our countries. We had classes that we talked about our countries and learning so much about other cultures. I am also very thankful for the international relations office, they have helped me with everything and made my stay in Poland easier.

Staying in Kalisz was very different to me since I was coming from a big city. Kalisz was quiet and very calm and I was not used to it, so at first it was very strange to me. But after sometime I was at peace, there was no rush and the nature was really beautiful. Also being in Kalisz means that I don’t know the language and it was a big challenge. With the language sometimes I had to take my phone out to translate which lead to very funny moments and when I look back and think of those times it makes me laugh so hard.

All though Kalisz is a small city I had so much fun there. We had several coffee dates with my friends in Kalisz and those times are one of my favorite memories from Kalisz. We also had a lot of time in the shopping mall and shopping with my friends was the best because every time one of us tries something on it was a fashion show.

I am very grateful to have such beautiful friends who have always been there for me both good and bad times. I am lucky to build such strong friendships from different countries and still being in touch with them.

With Erasmus I was able to travel to the other European countries with my friends. All these experiences thought me so much about different cultures and places.

I think Erasmus is a big opportunity that every student should try once. It was a life changing experience and I would have loved to have relive my Erasmus all over again.
